Picacho Peak Camp #1, Department of the Southwest, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, is the original SUVCW camp in Arizona. It takes its name from the only Civil War battle fought in Arizona, at Picacho Pass, Pinal County, on April 15, 1862.

Picacho Peak Camp #1 is based in Phoenix and usually meets quarterly at 11:30 AM on Saturdays. All persons interested in the Civil War are invited to attend. Each meeting features a presentation by one of our members or an invited guest, on a topic related to the Civil War.
