Allied Orders of the GAR

During its existence, the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) was aided in its work by five organizations which are now referred to as the Allied Orders of the GAR. They include the SUVCW, and the four organizations listed below:

• Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War
• Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War
• Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic
• Woman’s Relief Corps
